Sharathon 2010
SHARATHON 2010
THANK YOU to all of you that joined the WIBI giving family during Sharathon 2010. Thank you to all of you that keep the station in your prayers. Thank you to all of you who gave time to come be a part of our fundraiser.
As the ringing of the phones dies down, we are at about 70% of our operations goal. If you have been praying about giving to the ministry, but have not yet done so, consider making your gift today!

Sharathon 2010 FAQ's
WIBI is a listener supported station. 1360 new and returning friends at the Team 360 level -- $30 per month (or equivalent) -- are needed to meet the operational need of the station for the year.
Different Ways to Give
Ongoing Monthly Pledge: On-going commitment of monthly support that will continue until you tell us you'd like to make a change. This is the foundation for station support. If you’re already an ongoing, monthly supporter you don’t need to contact us before Sharathon to let us know you’re “on board.”
One-Step Giving: Allows your bank to automatically transfer your monthly gift to WIBI from your checking account by EFT or through your credit/debit card. It's simple, saves on postage for you and saves on administration costs for us!
One-time Pledge: A commitment to give a single gift for the amount you pledge at some point in a 12 month period following Sharathon.
Team 360: $30 a month in ongoing support or a one time gift of $360.
Dedicate-a-Day: $100 a month or $1200 as a one-time pledge. We'll thank you on the air throughout the day you select to dedicate and will join in celebrating the person or occasion you choose to honor.
I have heard what sounds like "commercials" on WIBI. What are those if you are "non commercial?"
What you are hearing is what's called "underwriting." WIBI has a business sponsorship program where Christian business owners or managers contribute to our ministry, and in exchange we thank those businesses for their support. Those are not commercials, rather, they are what the FCC calls an "acknowledgment of support" -- similar to what we do with a Day Sponsorship when they dedicate a day of broadcasting.
What is Sharathon?
Our annual 3½ day spring fundraiser.
Why?
WIBI is listener-supported. We’re licensed with the FCC as a non-commercial radio station, therefore we do not accept government grants and do not receive commercial advertising revenue. WIBI is also a 501-C3 as listed with the IRS. Your contribution to WIBI is tax deductible. While we are ministry, we still have costs like any church or business does. Your support at Sharathon covers those expenses.
What is the Sharathon goal?
$41,000 per month. We can reach this monthly operations need if 1,360 new or returning friends join Team 360, pledging to give $30 per month, less than $1 a day.
What happens if the goal is met?
If the goal is reached, operational costs for the year should be covered.
Who are you hoping to hear from during Sharathon?
First time contributors and those who gave one-time gifts last year who would like to continue supporting our mission again this year.
What about people who gave MONTHLY gifts last year, does their pledge automatically continue?
Yes. Those who gave on a monthly basis by check, credit/debit card or EFT will not need to contact us to be involved in Sharathon unless they’d like to make a change in the level of their pledge. Their on-going support has helped build a strong foundation and was already factored in when we determined this year’s goal.
I hear a lot of talk about early involvement and a “Pre Sharathon Goal of 150 Team 360’s.” Why do you have “two goals” and why does it matter?
We’ve found over the years that when the Sharathon response is heavily weighted up front, it puts the goal within reach. On the other hand, if we start slow, it’s very hard to make up ground in the final day or two. The “150 Pre Sharathon Team 360 members” would be part of our overall goal of 1360 Team 360s.
I’ve got more questions. Who can I talk with to find out more?

Jeremiah Beck.
